The Council of Residential Specialists is:

• A not-for-profit professional trade association established in 1977, that serves over 40,000 top producing residential realtors.
• The largest affiliate of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
• An education service that works to increase the knowledge and professionalism of residential real estate agents by offering over 250 residential real estate, two-day courses across the country every year.
• The organization that awards the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation

Certified Residential Specialists (CRS Designees) are:

• Experienced realtors who have completed advanced professional training and fulfilled elective credits such as a bachelors, masters, Ph.D in real estate or selected other NAR professional designations.
• 5% of all realtors, yet are involved in 25% of all real estate transactions.
• An elite group of over 35,000 Council members that are spread across the country.
• Active members in their local realtor board.
• Realtors whose median income is $44,500 more than the typical realtor's median income.
